Damers First School is an Academy that is part of the Wessex Multi Academy Trust. For the purposes of admission arrangements, Dorset Council acts as the admission authority responsible for admission decisions in connection with the school.

Applying for a Reception Place to Start in 2026

There are two ways to apply, either on paper (Click here to access form ).  You will receive an email later in the day with your offer letter.

The closing date for applications is 15 January 2026.

Any application or change made after this date will be classed as late. This means we will not consider it until after the on-time round.

We will let you know your outcome:

• on 16 April 2026 if you applied on time (by 15 January 2026) 
• on 14 May 2026 if you apply late (between 16 January 2026 and 15 April 2026) 

Applications received after the late round deadline will be processed as soon as possible following the completion of the late round allocations. This will be dependent on the date of application, receipt of required evidence and remaining space availability at the preferred school(s).

In-Year Admissions

The Local Authority will act on behalf of the school for all appeals regarding admissions.
